The Fount was created as a fictional restaurant based on a Farmer’s Market stand in Savannah, Georgia. Gruber Farms, a family owned and operated farm since 1948, was chosen to inspire the creation of the restaurant. The word “fount” is defined as “a place or origin of desirable quality or commodity”. One of the key values of the restaurant is sharing, specifically sharing from local sources with local people.
