The Doyenne Organization is a fictional organization that works to obtain the resources needed for giving women the opportunity to receive an art education. The word “doyenne” is defined as a woman who is the most prominent and respected in her field.

Therefore, the goal was to communicate empowerment, expression, and emergence. The letter “D” was chosen to inform the identity system to maintain the importance of the Doyenne throughout the design system. The movement from the half circle to the full circle in the logo mark represents the emerging presence of a female artist. The circle ultimately symbolizes a spotlight for recognizing women in the arts, or the recognized woman herself.
